Poster Design
As assignment I was tasked to do a travel poster for any landmark in Arizona. I was inspired by vintage travel posters, and decided to do mine on the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. These are both iconic Arizona landmarks, and have a unique history. I used a blendof halftone effects and paper texture to give it mass and texture, along with illustrations and colors inspired by 1970s era design. The pattern along the bottom between the words are inspired by the Native American land the landmark reside in. This includes the diamond shape used by the Navajo in Monument valley, and the flower pattern used in Havasupai trays where the Grand Canyon is.
